    Our home as a prop: Assessing asymmetry and scoliosis through our practice.

    In this weekend workshop we will have the opportunity to earn, with the help of Iyengar Yoga * the basic principles to assess, study, modify spinal asymmetries and scoliosis, through our  ractice at home.
    * The Iyengar system of Yoga has been known for its specific focus on alignment and the innovative use of props to  ake an in-depth approach accessible to asymmetries and scoliosis.


    Workshop hours
    Saturday: 3 hours.
    Sunday: 3 hours + 15 minutes for Q&A.

    Dates: Saturday 26 & Sunday 27/9/2020
    Time: 4:00pm -7:00pm (EEST)
     
    Program of the workshop
    Saturday
    : Assessment of the curves in the spine, core strengthening, elongation and decompression, using upine, prone, and sideline postures.
    Sunday: Working from the periphery to the core (with standing postures) and from the core to the  eriphery (with abdominal core work), and ending with restorative postures and breathing.
    Prerequisite: Ideally at least 6 months practice of Iyengar Yoga
     
    This workshop is suitable for students and teachers with minor back problems, asymmetries and scoliosis. The practice is experiential. 
    Cost: 100euro (+24% VAT)
